My Rock

I have nothing earth-shattering to share today. It's a quiet Monday morning, and the housework awaits while I sip coffee. I look out the window and see the steadfastness of God this morning. In spite of the chaos we manage to manufacture for ourselves on a daily basis, the sun rises and sets, the seasons come and go. Steadfast means immovable, firmly fixed in place, unchanging. I need to know
that every morning, that God is constant. I have a picture in my head this morning of a raging sea, and a rock jutting up out of the water. God is that rock. Grab on, hold tight.

"Deuteronomy 32: 1 Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; let the earth hear the words of my mouth. 2 May my teaching drop like the rain, my speech condense like the dew; like gentle rain on grass, like showers on new growth. 3 For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God! 4 The Rock, his work is perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God, without deceit, just and upright is He."
I found this photo on Google images, I don't know who to credit:
